Located at 1823 East Main Street, Grace Noodle is a quaint shop that specializes in homemade ramen noodles. Their belief is that food should be healthful and wholesome, and you'll find that their courteous staff exemplify that in their service and the dishes themselves.

This restaurant features more than a dozen different types of ramen noodle soups, with appetizers and desserts on menu as well. Everything on the menu also boasts a price point of 12.99 or less, so if you're looking for filling, flavorful, and budget friendly this is definitely a place to try.

I always start with the Gyoza, which are grilled dumplings filled with pork, chicken, green onion, and vegetables that comes with a tamari & mirin dipping sauce. 6 come to an order, and its a flavorful but light way to start off the meal. Other available appetizers include iconic Japanese street food like takoyaki (a batter infused with dashi and filled with octopus, rolled in a flavorful sauce) and spicy shrimp wontons.

If you're looking for something other than ramen as your main course, the menu includes Yaki Soba fried noodle dishes, Rice Dishes and plates. Several vegetarian options are included, along with them customizing ramen dishes to better suit your palate or dietary needs.

This one is actually my personal favorite! I recommend it if you are looking for well done execution on hearty traditional flavors. The broth for this ramen has a deep soy taste, with a touch of white miso that balances it all out. This particular ramen is certainly "no frills", but I've come to appreciate the simplicity of the Chashu Ramen's ingredients. It's everything it needs to be without taking away from the few main components.

Another favorite (pictured below) is the Tan Tan Ramen. It includes ground pork or chicken, kimchi, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, seaweed and green onion in a very spicy broth. Guaranteed to warm you up on a cold day (or knock the hangover out of you) this ramen is highlighted by the acidity the kimchi brings to the spicyness of the broth itself.

There's many reasons why Grace Noodle is a Richmond Award Winning restaurant. From the cozy atmosphere and quick service, to the consistently delicious food; this is a place that I frequent, simply because they always knock it out the park. I encourage you to put down that ramen packet at home and treat yourself to something made with genuine love and care. There's something on the menu for everyone. Let me know how you liked it!
