I have to admit, I’m a sucker for the Holidays. Hot cocoa, twinkly lights on starry nights, Christmas carols and cheesy movie classics…I love it all. If you’re local, you know this weather is anything but consistently wintry right now. That didn’t stop me from taking a trip to Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden as soon as the temperature dipped during their light display!

From now until January 9th, 2022 you have the chance to adventure through and see over a million sparkly bulbs light up their grounds. From decorations, to model trains and a 25 foot tall live tree- there is something to see here for everyone.

The facility is encouraging indoor universal mask wear regardless of vaccination status. They are also encouraging mask wear outdoors when social distancing is not possible. With Covid Precautions all tickets MUST be purchased in advance online. Popular timeframes fill up quickly, and ticket prices fluctuate based on “value nights” and “peak nights”.

This is definitely a yearly trip for me, and they always have something new and exciting each time. With a warming fire that you can purchase s’mores for, dinner options onsite at Robin’s Tea House, and even Gardenfest for Fidos (designated days for your furry pals), they cover all the bases for patrons to have an all ages good time. There are also specific nights you can indulge in the Jingle Bar for the 21+ crowd. Whether you are looking for something for the kids this season, want a romantic date idea, or simply a night out on the town, Gardenfest is an event you don't want to miss. Tickets are going very quickly for non members, if you want to get in on some holiday festivities- make your way out there soon!
